    The logo resembles colorful building blocks symbolizing what they do; creating and building beautiful, modern and sustainable spaces that are personal and inspiring. The leaf shape from half of the letter “U” emphasizes their sustainable approach to their business.

    Forte is a R&B Band from the San Francisco Bay Area, performing current and “Old School” Pop, Soul, Rock & Funk. The logotype visually expresses the 14 piece band's bold sound. They wanted a logo that looked strong, had a hint of 70’s classic band graphics while not looking dated and rusty.

    Honey Bistro is located in the new San Francisco Federal Building complex. The logotype reflects the easy, friendly and clean atmosphere. The added honey drips to the letter O makes the logotype eye catching in the middle of busy downtown scene.

    Key words used to inspire the design were seed, tree and growth. Many interesting explorations for the logo were created and were featured in the book logo lounge vol.4 published by Rockport Publishers.

    The Walk&Roll to School logo was created for Cherry Chase PTA promoting students to walk or bike to school.

    The logo illustrates a fun and diverse group of students showing different ways to get to school. The vibrant and cute logo was incorporated to the banners and was used to make t-shirts.

    Coucou

    The client had a specific request for the logo: the logo should look unique while conveying a direct message - Coucou is a traditional and fusion Japanese restaurant. The logo stands out among other restaurants that are similar to Coucou by steering clear of any typical Asian fonts or icons - like chopsticks, koi fish and brush stroke calligraphy. The simple and contemporary logotype echoes Coucou’s clean and inviting modern atmosphere.

    Prairie Marketing is a full service marketing group focused on their clients’ successful business. The golden wheat was used as a metaphor for a success and creates building blocks stacked upwards. The font was inspired by the visual of wheat - slender with rounded corners and pointed tips.

    From backyard BBQs to corporate events, Divine Indulgence Catering creates personalized events serving the San Francisco Bay Area. A pleasant surprise is found using the letter V; an icon is created with the server’s arm carrying food on a tray.

    Gomei is the very first Japanese Californian restaurant located in Malaysia. To establish a clear identity that this is a fast food restaurant, high-energy colors like red and yellow were used as many other top global brand fast food restaurants. The logo communicates instantly to people that Gomei is a friendly and quick fast food place with a cute Asian twist.

    Ahimsa Center

    Ahimsa Center is located in California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California providing programs and activities that promotes nonviolence and peace. Based on a playful pinwheel, the logo communicates the notion that a single idea given momentum can grow and reach many people. This represents the core of the Ahimsa Center mission - a positive influence rooted in non-violent thoughts and actions that spread outward into the community.

    Mizu means water in both Chinese and Japanese. They wanted a logo that looks clean and appealing to both men and women. The form of the icon was taken from the original Chinese character and refined to resemble a spontaneous water splash. The overall look and feel of the logo is non-gender biased and simply clean.

    SanDisk Sansa is a product line of simple and user-friendly mp3 players. It was recognized as the only mp3 player that competes with iPod at the time. The logotype reinforces this positioning through understated letterforms customized to incorporate the look and feel of the product.
